AIRBOOST Alpego: multifunctional pressurised hopper

This is where the AIRBOOST multi-purpose pressurised hopper comes in, designed for high performance while ensuring precision and versatility in all conditions.
Top-class performance and versatility
When it comes to operational adaptability, AIRBOOST sets the standard. Built entirely from high-strength painted steel, the hopper is available in larger capacities of 2,400 l or 3,200 l. But its real trump card is its flexibility: it can be used to dispense 1 to 3 different products simultaneously, handling working widths of up to 8 metres with Alpego equipment and even wider with third-party equipment. The maximum working width will depend on the application rate and working speed.
At the heart of the metering system are 2 or 3 new AVION precision metering units. Designed and developed in-house by Alpego, they are made entirely from stainless steel and guarantee extremely precise application and easy adjustment for all products, with a range from 1.5 to over 500 kg/ha.

AIRBOOST can be easily combined with a range of equipment – including Alpego machines such as rotary harrows, disc cultivators and tillers, as well as third-party machinery. The distribution heads have been designed to meet any requirement, ensuring optimal distribution whether you are working with seeds or fertilisers.
- If your primary focus is sowing, the ASD PRO system will impress you. It is fitted with the innovative Turbo ROTAL device, a turbine positioned right at the centre of the distribution head. This technology promotes a significantly more uniform distribution across the sowing rows, even on uneven ground, reducing the variation in uniformity between rows by up to 40 per cent.
- For fertilisation, on the other hand, the AFDS system is the ideal partner for all front hoppers when used in combination with single-seed drills, weeding machines and fertilisation kits. Throughput is increased thanks to new funnels and cyclones fitted with 60 mm diameter outlets. To support this, the wear-resistant transport channels feature a large diameter, ensuring smooth flow, optimal mixing of the products and a much faster discharge rate.
Smart design and ISOBUS technology
Practicality in the field is always a must. Alpego hoppers feature a unique design that shifts the machine’s centre of gravity that increases and facilitates the access and the loading process. Calibration and seed testing are simplified as much as possible thanks to a convenient fold-away platform that protects access to the system, and strategically positioned buttons. There is also a handy storage compartment with a door for stowing the weighing kit and essential tools.
In terms of fuel consumption and efficiency, the blower turbine ensures minimal oil consumption even under the most demanding working conditions. It maintains high performance thanks to its high-performance motor, requiring very little power from the tractor. Finally, the ISOBUS (ISO 11783) electronic control system is fully integrated into the front hopper: owners of compatible tractors can conveniently manage every single function directly from the in-cab display.
